Mary K. Tilghman

Mary K. Tilghman decided to write novels after 40 years as a reporter and editor for Maryland newspapers and magazines. She also wrote six editions of Frommer’s travel guide for Maryland and Delaware. Divided Loyalties was published in 2017 with a second edition issued in July 2019. Set in Sharpsburg, Maryland during the Civil War, it follows an Irish immigrant as she sacrifices family, friends, and comfort to serve in a battlefield tent hospital. The novel was cited in CBS Baltimore’s “Five Baltimore Authors To Put On Your Summer Reading List.” Her second book was issued July 25th, 2019. Love Letters & Gingerbread, recalls the romances of two sisters living in 1831 Annapolis. The Christmas of 1831 will be one none of them will ever forget. She is a member of the Romance Writers of America, Maryland Romance Writers and the Historical Novel Society.
