Petula Caesar is a multi-talented artist, journalist, author and poet. She got her to start writing erotica when she was published in New York Times bestselling author Zane’s erotica anthology “Caramel Flava.” Petula has been a contributing writer for Baltimore’s former alternative weekly City Paper, The Afro- American Newspapers, and Baltimore Magazine. She is also a performance poet and storyteller who has shared her works at popular Baltimore signature events like Artscape, Stoop Storytelling and Charm City Kitty Club, and she has been a touring poet, traveling with a band to perform at venues up and down the East Coast. Her current book, She’s Such A Bright Girl: An American Story discusses colorism in the African American community through her experiences growing up with a father able to “pass” for White. The book won an Honorable Mention at the North Street Books Prize for creative non-fiction.
