A native New Yorker, Sid Gold is the author of four full-length collections of poetry, the most recent of which is “Crooked Speech” (Pond Road Press, 2018). He is the recipient of two Maryland State Art Council Individuals Artist Awards for Poetry (1997 and 2013, respectively). His poems have appeared in journals and reviews such Free State Review, Gargoyles, Maryland Literary Review, Poet Lore, Southern Poetry Review and Tar River Poetry, among others. In August 2019, he was one of the four poets named “Best Poets in Baltimore” in Baltimore Magazine’s Annual Reader’s Poll of “Best in Baltimore”. He is a long-time resident of Hyattsville, MD.
