When is the festival this year?

Light City and Baltimore Book Festival will come together as one spectacular festival from Friday, November 1-Sunday, November 10, 2019 to create ten days of a one-of-a-kind international event at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.

Is it free to attend Light City/Baltimore Book Festival?

Of course! Much of Brilliant Baltimore is 100% FREE and open to the public, with the exception of a few ticketed events. 

Will there be Wifi?

The Inner Harbor Wi-Fi Project now allows Baltimore City residents and tourists visiting the Inner Harbor to access free Wi-Fi service along the promenade—from Rusty Scupper to the west side of the World Trade Center.

Charm City Circulator

The CCC is a Fast, Friendly and Free, fully accessible public transportation service that travels four routes in Baltimore City.

The Charm City Circulator hours: Sunday: 9am-8pm, Monday-Thursday: 7am-8pm, Friday: 7am–midnight, Saturday: 9am-midnight

MTA

The nearest Light Rail stop is the Convention Center, and the nearest Metro stop is Baltimore and Charles streets

For your convenience, please use your CharmCard®, Monthly Pass or Weekly Pass or purchase a MDOT MTA Day Pass or round-trip tickets at the start of your trip to the festival.

From points north of  Baltimore (Philadelphia, New York): 
Follow I-95 South through the Fort McHenry Tunnel ($2 toll) to exit 53 (I-395 North, Downtown).Bear left off the exit and follow signs to the Inner Harbor. Continue in the left or center lane. At the third light, make a right onto Pratt Street. Follow Pratt Street four blocks to the Inner Harbor, which will be on your right. The Visitor Center is located along the Inner Harbor's west wall (between Bubba Gump's and the Maryland Science Center on Light Street).

From points south of Baltimore (Annapolis, Washington D.C., Northern Virginia):
Follow I-95 North to Exit 53 (I-395 North, Downtown). Continue in the left or center lane. At the third light, make a right onto Pratt Street. Follow Pratt Street four blocks to the Inner Harbor, which will be on your right. The Visitor Center is located along the Inner Harbor's west wall (on Light Street)


From points northwest of Baltimore (Harrisburg, York PA): 
Follow I-70 East to Exit 91 (I-695 South, Glen Burnie). Travel on I-695 South and take Exit 11A (I-95 North, Baltimore). Proceed on I-95 North to Exit 53 (I-395 North, Downtown). Continue in the left or center lane. At the third light, make a right onto Pratt Street. Follow Pratt Street four blocks to the Inner Harbor, which will be on your right. The Visitor Center is located along the Inner Harbor's west wall (on Light Street)

The City of Baltimore has numerous parking locations conveniently located throughout the city. Park easy and reserve your Baltimore Book Festival event parking with the Parking Authority of Baltimore City! So, whether you need a daily parking spot or overnight, there is a spot waiting for you.

Riding your bike to the festival? Park it in a safe location! Bike parking is located on the Science Center lawn near the old Spirit Cruises building.
